Specialist Fleet Management Solutions Company Launches
Companies, government departments and parastatals invest substantial amounts of money each year in their vehicles and drivers. In order to optimise this investment they need to have efficient and effective fleet management and monitoring solutions in place. It is becoming apparent that if these enterprises want better customer delivery and bottom line performance on their fleets they need to have access to instant reports on driver and vehicle behaviour. Developments in technology have enabled the expansion of fleet management solutions with capabilities and turnaround times way beyond those of previous generations.
Tracontime - a technologically advanced, fleet management solutions specialist, has recently been launched and has set itself the vision of providing cost-effective Machine-to-Machine solutions nationwide. According to the company's CEO, Rogerio Viana, "We have sourced, adopted and implemented the best technologies in the world and have developed partnerships that can support this technology effectively allowing us to provide our clients with a fully integrated solution".
Clients are supplied with a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform to enable accurate Global ositioning System (GPS) based tracking. This, when combined with other wireless technologies, General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), satellite, Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) and network management programs, ensures consistent and constant fleet management and monitoring.
Tracontime's fleet management system includes elements such as asset tracking, job scheduling, trip reports and email or sms notifications and alerts. In addition, to further simplify the fleet anagement process, the company utilises a 'drill down' function to accurately score individual drivers according to parameters defined by their clients.
The fleet management company's unique web-based platform allows its clients to track and assess the movements of its vehicles in real time which allow for better decision making on a closed-loop continuous basis. Furthermore, with the Web Application API's clients can integrate this real time information with existing business applications to extend the capabilities of their organization.
Jobs and deliveries can also be scheduled using the company's dedicated job-scheduling application which allows clients to determine vehicle and driver allocation, time frames, etc, the company's SMS and email functionality informs and updates them on the job's status.
To address the major concern that security plays with fleet management companies, Viana says that "Our ISO 27001 security certified wireless network, telemetrically enabled devices, 24 hour customer care and other offerings, enable us to provide our clients with an all-encompassing asset management solution".
Included in Tracontime's range of solutions is the NM-OBD plug and play device - a versatile and economical diagnostic device that communicates vital vehicle information to clients via ubiquitous GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) and GPRS network solutions.
The device is able to monitor variables such as location and speed, generate trip and start/stop reports, record geofence violations and a host of other parameters set by clients for their specific fleets.
"The implementation of our technology solution and ability for rapid deployment ensures that our clients can concentrate on increasing their productivity and customer satisfaction performance", Viana concludes.
