According to the latest data of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, 1.8994 million units were manufactured and 1.8417 million units were sold in April, showing a slight decrease from the previous month.

In the first four months, the year-on-year growth of output and sales was stable above 10%, recording a slight increase from the first quarter. GWM sold 66 800 units in April, up 41% year-on-year, ranking first among independent brands and 7th in the auto industry. In the first four months, GWM sold 249 400 units, up 38% year-to-year. GWM has drawn the attention from the industry again for its booming sales.

In April, GWM extended the robust production and sales in the first quarter. Besides the high overall growth, Haval continued its lead with monthly sales of 33 000 units and cumulative sales of 120 000 units, up 87% and 90% year-to-year respectively.

Meanwhile, Great Wall passenger cars maintained a steady growth with 21 000 units sold, up 14% from year-on-year; and Wingle pickups kept ahead in the Chinese pickup market with 13 000 units sold, 11% growth from year-on-year.

In terms of single models, Great Wall H6 and Great Wall M4 registered sales of 15 000 units and over 10 000 units respectively in April, ranking top among single SUV models. In the PC sector, star models like Great Wall C30 and Great Wall C50 boosted GWM's PC operations. Great Wall C30 continued the lead over other similar models with monthly sales of 13 000 units.

GWM's sales boom has been attributable to its moderate operations and focus strategy. Besides, the constant launch of new models and the increase in both product and service quality have been the major factor for GWM's sales growth.
