Is your Diesel contaminated?

“What to consider or look for by simply walking past your Bowser and Filtration System.”

What? We commend the petroleum companies for trying their utmost best to keep fuel clean when released from the refineries. However, it’s from this point and further through the supply chain that fuel becomes contaminated. Condensation, microbiological growth, dirt and dust are ever present by nature and need to be controlled or even eliminated through proper filtration systems and/or methods.

Although there are many conceptual products in the filtration market (where every player has a different point of view) we cannot ignore the basics... ’does it tear, form channels, buckle under start/stop surge pressures, unload particles & migrate and most importantly what is it’s HOLDING CAPACITY?!’ whether it’s a magnetised system, multiple layer fibrous material or duplicated unit...does its inherent characteristics meet the above mentioned perils and are you able to VISUALLY INSPECT your Diesel at any given time?

Why? Well firstly if you cannot visually inspect your Diesel then you don’t know whether you have contamination like water, amber, oil, paraffin etc. in circulation. You are also unable to take necessary steps to avoid bad delivery, theft, sabotage or even site upgrade.

How? We’ll also commend the other players in the market that try to ‘clean’, condition, polish etc. fuel with their magnetised units, innovative fibrous materials and the like but with all the competition and ‘slander’ of different methods how do you know what is best for you if you don’t know your own problem? Purchasing a solution based on price or merely to say that you do have filtration is risky and that translates to wasting money and creating more “Policing Hours” for your good self.

So the HOW is in the knowing of the problem and subsequent education of basic fundamentals to acquire the right solution.

When? Immediately!! The sooner you VISUALLY INSPECT, TEST and ESTABLISH your diesel cleanliness level and micron rating the sooner you will know what YOUR scenario is and source the relevant solution(s). Once you implement the best suited solution for your application, savings on operating costs will definitely start revealing itself. Fuel consumption, Carbon Emissions, Engine failures (Injectors), Labour Oriented “Policing” will start decreasing and paint a bigger positive picture.

You will also not have to deal with “Salesmen” that sell the product to you and vanish because, wait for it...you are educated and aware of practical technology.
