Keltruck raises the standard


Keltruck, the largest independent Scania dealer in the UK, has announced that it recently achieved the BS ISO 14001 accreditation for environmental management systems. This means that Keltruck is now the first Scania dealership in the UK to achieve the three accreditations of ISO 14001, the ISO 9001 standard for quality management systems, and the OHSAS 18001 standard for occupational health and safety.

Andrew Jamieson, Managing Director & Dealer Principal, commented: "As a company we have always aimed to do the right thing; the standards achieved are a way of measuring our compliance, however the journey to achieving it has been more important. Working with Inspire International UK Ltd over the past few years as our consultants we've engaged with the staff along the journey.

Harvinder and his team are very much part of our management team and with their involvement we've gone a long way to improving the overall culture, too.

"Achieving the standard is just the start of the process, with each one embedding a process for continuous improvement over time and hence the journey continues, but it is a great start to the year."
