NBCRFLI condenms Fields Hill crash

The Board members of the National Bargaining Council for the Road Freight and Logistics Industry (NBCRFLI) would like to express their strong condemnation of the Fields Hill truck accident in Pinetown which took place on 5 September 2013, claiming the lives of 23 people.

"We appeal to transport authorities and the industry at large to work together to improve road safety within South Africa so that such an incident never happens again,” says June Dube, Chairman of the NBCRFLI Board.

“The NBCRFLI Board regrets the loss of life and sends its sincere condolences to the families of the crash victims,” sympathises Fred Meier, Deputy Chairman of the NBCRFLI Board.
